About Dr. Jim Denison

Dr. Jim Denison has been pastor of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas since June, 1998.  Prior to that, he pastored churches in Atlanta, GA, Midland, TX, and Mansfield, TX.

He has a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Divinity from SWBTS, and a Doctor of Divinity from DBU.  He is author of four books, The Bible--You Can Believe It: Biblical Authority in the Twenty First Century, Myth and the Manger, Life on the Brick Pile: Answers to Suffering from the Letters of Revelation, and Seven Crucial Questions About the Bible.  Dr. Denison has also written extensively for various publications.  His weekly Sunday school commentaries are used by the Baptist General Convention of Texas and Baptistway Press as an online teaching tool. 

He currently teaches a Ph.D. seminar and Master of Arts in Christian Education class for Dallas Baptist University.  Dr. Denison has also served on the faculties of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Mercer University School of Theology, and has served on the boards of Truett Theological Seminary, Center for Christian Ethics of Baylor University, and DBU.  He is a teaching fellow for the B.H. Carroll Theological Institute, and serves on its Board of Governors. 

His daily devotional, "God Issues Today" is made available across the world to over 9000 subscribers.  He and his wife, Janet, have two sons, Ryan and Craig.
