It's good to remember that in God's perfect paradise, all are equally welcomed and equally loved.
High atop any list of perennial questions about Christian faith is the subject of creation and evolution. Four facts are important. First: the Bible was not intended to be a science textbook. While Scripture speaks with authority and truth to every subject it addresses, it was not written to define the age of the earth. It tells us what we need to know to follow Jesus, not all we would like to know about the world he created.

gives believers a remarkable opportunity to talk to our friends about Jesus. For several weeks we considered facts and issues which might help make such conversation more effective. Yesterday we began a related series, dealing with the perennial questions non-Christians ask about our faith. Today we'll consider a challenge Christians hear often: isn't your Bible filled with contradictions?
