The Psalms were written as songs and poetry of praise and encouragement. They described and exalted God and were used for education and worship. Psalm 119 was written about the power and benefits of the word of God to the believer’s life.
- Describe the benefits to the person who does not "neglect" God’s word? (v. 9-16)
- What do you think it means to "hide God’s word in your heart?" (v.11)
- Why should we be motivated to know God’s word? (v. 17-24)
- Verse 105 is often memorized. Think about the meaning of this verse in light of the historical period in which it was written. Why is the word of God crucial to life?

- John 16:13-14 says, "But when he, the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.
